StopGAP Rejects Revenge

StopGAP are four dynamic dancers with and without disabilities. They bring to Dorset their innovative dance and passion for performing, for the first time. Just back from New York and recently sold out in Barcelona, they present a triple bill of vibrant, funny and tender dance by top UK choreographers.

Double Booked is an affectionate look at life around village halls and the people who use them, with StopGAP nervously invading the building! As a party draws to a haunting conclusion, the dancers reveal tender relationships and release their playful energy in Corpus . Fried has four ex-circus performers reunited with hilarious consequences putting modern day vaudeville into their new reality.

With music ranging from classical to Japanese drums and whistling, StopGAP are an outstanding internationally performing dance company whose work is entertaining for all ages."

‘The interaction between the dancers was sleek and precise. Corpus was bursting with energy!'

‘An outstanding offering of the day.'

National and international physical comedy favourites Rejects Revenge return with their original brand of verbal wit and visual silliness. Written by Tim Hibberd and directed by Ezra Hjalmarsson, ‘The Steppe Brothers' is a fast and funny new comedy from the company that brought you the award winning shows Peasouper and Dusty Fruit.

Fearsome and feared warrior look-alikes ‘The Steppe Brothers' are entertainers to any crusading army that pass their way. A song, a dance and some fake facial hair have carried them as far as Lithuania, but with their dearly departed mother in the props box and a missing chicken to account for, life is suddenly looking hazardous for our fraternal duo.

Meanwhile, a beautiful Comtesse diverts her troops from their march to the Holy Land in order to ‘tie up' a little business with her twin sister.

And their paths are just about to collide… "

‘Variously recalling the flavours of Monty Python and Blackadder this splendidly silly three-hander contains a wealth of cherishable, gently warped humour, slick comic timing and adroit sleights of hand.'
The Metro

‘Razor-sharp script and exceptionally funny performances.'
